Feb12, MonIt was my Sister 18th Birthday. As u guys noe, we Filipino's haf this tradition of a BIG/GRAND birthday celebration when a female turns 18 and a Male turns 21. And last nite was my Sister Debut. It was held at Sheraton Towers, a 5 Star Hotel which is nice.
Anw, I had Art period today till 3.30pm. But I couldn't leave so late as I had to be in the Hotel by 4pm to prepare and haf a final practice for the dance. I left school immediately w/ my bro and reached home at 2.30pm. Had my bath and got changed. My bro and me were prepared to leave when the weather changed. It rained heavily.! Gah!! Dad told us to take a cab there. Left the house at 3.30pm and reached the hotel around 4.15pm and saw Norix, Jason, Owel, Ken and some of the girls.
Sat down for awhile to rest and waited for time to pass. Was feeling very slpy though.. We changed at around 5.45pm and had some light snacks which the Hotel served. Hahs! Ken and me were taking lots of the food. Saw Sheena fren, Krizia there. She's so cute and short. HAHAs! No offence. The rest of the girls had their make up and hair done alrdy. Janice was so pretty. Sheena too, and the rest of the other girls.
The guys had bit of make up, but it wasn't obvious at all. So yeah. Deanne called me at 6pm asking me about wad dress should she wear. Told her any kind of dress, but she didnt believe me. HAHAs! Naughty her. Anw, after all of us were rdy, we had our last practice for the contilion dance. Some of my sister frens arrived and were seated. Practice was done. Went down to the entrance w/ Sheena to fetch Deanne. OMG! and her cab fare costed $20++ ! Oh Gosh! LOL!
Deanne was in a Pink dress. She looked beautiful in it. While walking up to the ballroom, she was alrdy freaking out! HAHAs! Held her hand for awhile to cool her down and met my dad outside the ballroom. Introduce her to dad. And wow, was she respectful.! =DD Deanne, i'm shocked that u blessed my dad & mom. That's nice of u! =) Anw, I think they lyk u. HAHAs!!! Wadever it is.. Went to introduce her to some of my Youth Mates and send her to her seat. Ur thnkful enuf deanne that u got to sit beside me. LOLS!
Frens of my sister started coming in. And some of those invited Churchmates started coming in too.. The whole thing started at around close to 8pm. The Youth went to take some pics first. The Youth went out of the ballroom to get ourselves prepared for the Contilion Dance. Lined up and entered the room. And whao! There were lotsa ppl there. LOLs! Of cos I was feeling sort of nervous, but it's okay. Sarted dancing w/o my sister first. I had 2 partner for the dance. Sheena & Ruth. After dancing the first time, my sister entered the ballroom w/ her escort, Owel.
She was the most beautiful lady i've ever met when the door opened. She was dressed in a purple dress. And when she arrived, the Youth started dancing the Contilion for the second time w/ my sister and her escort. After dancing, all of us got seated and took some breather. HAHAs! Went to catch up w/ Deanne and the rest sitting in the same table as me. I looked around the whole ballroom and saw lots of my sister frens/classmates/schoolmates. Most were chinese and some others malay n Indians. But majority were filipino's.
The 2 Emcees were, Ate Lyne & Ate Claire. They started talking about the History of Debut. And blablabla.. Deanne was jus sitting beside when she smsed me saying that she was hungry na. HAHAs! Pastor Jerry then talked about the Word of God and then prayed. After all those, dinner was ready.! While table by table was qeueing up for the food, my bro and me had to join my sister and her escort to take picture table to table. As in, taking pictures w/ 1 table at a time. And my dad hired 1 professional photo grapher and video man for my sis's debut. And there'll be a DVD for my sister debut whole event!
Anw, the table to table picture ended and I went to take my food. Went to wait for the Youth while they take their food. Started eating my food. It was delicious esp the Salmon. Hahs! but deanne dislyks it. =D LOLs! She couldn't finish her food so I had to help her finish her mee hoon. Went to take desert after that. The Cocolate Muss was the Best! I'm not kinda sure wad that was, but it was really nice to eat. Oh yah, Krizia, Vincent, Ken, Aaron, Fugi, Rudy are all in the same table as me.
So yeah, after dinner, the Birthday cake came. It was a 10KG cake which compiles of 3 levels. Gosh it was huge! And it was delicious too.! HAHAs! =D And so the 18 gifts and candles commenced. This is when 18 ladies who were chosen had to go up to the birthday girl w/ a candle lit in her hand and pass put the candle on the cake and pass their gifts to the bday girl. All 18 ladies passed, and it was the guys turn. 18 guys were chosen and they were given 1 rose each to give to the bday girl and dance w/ the bday girl for awhile. And I was the first to be called out. Perhaps I was the first brother of the family. And my dad was the last w/ a blue rose.
After all of these had passed, my dad, mom me and bro were asked to be called out to join my sister blow out the candles. Pictures were then taken while my sister blew the candles. Went back to our seats.. Sister then gave a speech . Very touching.! After that, my dad came up to give a speech too. and then, another pastor then gave a closing prayer and the cakes were then served. It was delicious.!
Picture taking was up next. Frens, youthmates, churchmates took pictures w/ my sister. So cool! And the Youth were all dancing in the Dance floor .! Hip Hop! But when the song was playing a slow 1, I took 1 girl and danced w/ her. First up, my partner was Deanne. HAHAs! She was good! Good thing I knew how to do or else if I stepped onto her foot, she's sure gonna punch me. And now I noe that she lyks punching ppl. And den I danced w/ Krizia, sheena.
Erika, Erikson, Emerson were all there too.! Had fun w/ all of em'! Had some final pics w/ them b4 they left. Some of the ppl left alrdy as it was gettin' late. I went to send deanne to take a cab around 10.50pm. We went to the opposite side of the road to hail a cab. bid goodbye and that was the bye for us for that nite. HAAHS! I really enjoyed .! Went back to the hotel and saw the rest of the youth leaving. Took some last pictures w/ them b4 they left home.
Went back to the Ballroom and saw dad and some of the Churchmates still there. The hotel management helped us packed the cake into different boxes as there were lots of cakes. Dad told me, my sister and bro to go back home first as i've got school the next day. Dad gave us taxi fare while we bring back all the presents and stuffs. Dad went to deliver some cakes w/ some of the churchmate to some other ppl house as there were lots of em' left.
Reached home at 12am and got changed. Brushed teeth and boom*! Off to bed. HAHAS! I wanna thnk god for everything his done to my sister. Continue to bless her in everthin she does and her future. And I wanna thnk everyone who attended the party.! Hope u guys enjoyed urself! Esp the dancing part. LOLs!
